Celebrating a New Chapter at Trafford Youth for Christ: Highlights from Last Week’s AGM
Last Monday, 24th November, Trafford Youth for Christ gathered for our Annual General Meeting — an evening filled with reflection, gratitude, and excitement for the future. Our AGM is always a special moment in the year, giving us space to celebrate what God has been doing through our ministry, thank those who make it possible, and look ahead with hope and expectation.
But this year’s meeting came with an especially significant milestone: the election of our new Chair of Trustees, Tom.
Welcoming Tom as Chair of Trustees
We are thrilled to share that Tom was elected as the new Chair of Trustees for Trafford Youth for Christ. Tom has a long history in youth work and brings with him wisdom, encouragement, and a heart for seeing young people encounter Jesus. His passion for youth work and his commitment to strong, servant-hearted leadership make him an excellent fit for this role.
As Chair, Tom will help guide our strategic direction, support our staff team, and ensure we continue to operate with integrity, clarity, and a Christ-centred vision. We are excited to see how his leadership will shape the next season of our ministry.
Thanking Ann for Her Incredible Service
Tom steps into the role following the faithful leadership of Ann, who has served as Chair with extraordinary dedication. Ann has been an incredible support to Trafford Youth for Christ — offering guidance, encouragement, and a steady presence through seasons of growth and challenge. Her commitment has helped shape the ministry we are today, and we are deeply grateful for the time, care, and prayer she has poured into her role.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Ann for her years of service. Though she is handing over the role of Chair, her impact will continue to be felt across the work of TYFC.
Gratitude for Our Trustees and Supporters
AGMs are also an important moment to recognise the dedication of our entire Trustee Board. Their behind-the-scenes work enables everything we do — from schools ministry, to youth outreach, to fundraising events. We’re so grateful for their prayer, time, and expertise.
A huge thank-you as well to everyone who attended the meeting, asked thoughtful questions, and continues to support us in prayer, giving, and encouragement. We truly could not do this work without you.
Looking Ahead
With new leadership, renewed energy, and a deep sense of calling, we step into the coming year expectant for what God will do in and through Trafford Youth for Christ. Please join us in praying for Tom, our trustees, and our whole team as we continue to share the hope of Jesus with young people across our community.
Here’s to a new chapter — and to all God has in store!
